You can peel the beets if you&rsquo;d like, but I find that they&rsquo;re just fine with the peel kept on (I always give them a good scrub under running water before shredding).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Work smarter, not harder. <\/strong>Why peel the beets by hand and turn your hands pink when a food processor can do the work for you?
